Turquoise is the menthol most people here end up on, and there is a practical reason for that beyond taste. It is the strongest cooling stick carried outside the Japanese range, and the only strong menthol in the official UAE catalogue.

Philip Morris files it under a zesty profile: crisp menthol cooling over a lightly toasted tobacco blend, lifted by subtle zesty aroma notes. No fruit, no capsule, nothing sweet.

We carry it in three market editions, which makes it one of the easiest flavours on the site to buy at a price that suits you.

What Turquoise tastes like

The cooling arrives on the first draw and holds through the session. It is direct and clean rather than creamy, which is the main thing separating it from Blue.

The zesty note sits above the cold and is what stops the stick reading as medicinal. It is a light citrus lift rather than a fruit flavour, present enough to give the menthol some brightness and not enough to compete with it.

Underneath, the tobacco base is deliberately restrained. It functions as a carrier for the freshness rather than as an equal partner, which is why the body sits lighter than anything in the classic range.

Across a session the cold stays steady while the tobacco becomes slightly more noticeable in the second half, as your palate adjusts. The finish is clean and short, with none of the chemical edge that badly built menthols leave on the exhale.

Turquoise or Blue, which is the real question

These are the two menthols carried across multiple ranges, so this is the comparison most buyers are actually making.

Blue is softer than the name suggests. Real tobacco with peppermint and a creamy aroma, and the cream is what rounds the edges until the finish lands closer to a mint confection than to anything medicinal. Cooling is moderate and it survives a full pack without palate fatigue.

Turquoise is sharper and cleaner. The mint is crisp rather than sweet, the citrus lift replaces the creaminess, and the cold is noticeably more direct.

Practically: choose Blue if you want a comfortable all-day menthol and Turquoise if you want the cold to be the point. Most people switching from menthol cigarettes find Turquoise the closer match, because a cigarette menthol tends to be sharp rather than creamy.

You probably do not need the Black tier

Worth saying, because a lot of people arrive here having read that Black Menthol is the coldest TEREA makes and assuming that is what they should buy.

It is colder. It is also Japan only, which means it sits at the premium end of our pricing and it is not carried in the official UAE range at all.

Turquoise satisfies most menthol smokers, including most people coming from strong menthol cigarettes. The Black tier exists for people who have already smoked their way through Turquoise and kept wishing it went further. If you are not that person yet, start here and save the money.

If you do find Turquoise is not enough after a pack or two, then the Black variants are the honest next step and worth the premium.

The three editions we stock

Turquoise from the UAE is the official local release, distributed here through IQOS with Arabic and English packaging and UAE health warnings. It is the most expensive of the three and the one to choose if packaging language matters, if the pack is a gift, or if you want the version sold through official channels here.

Turquoise from Kazakhstan sits mid-price and comes from our largest range, sixteen flavours including five Pearl capsule variants, so it is the practical pick if you want to explore beyond Turquoise on the same order.

Turquoise from Armenia is the cheapest of the three and comes from a short six-flavour range carrying only proven sellers.

Philip Morris tunes blends per market rather than shipping one recipe worldwide, so these are not strictly identical packs. On a menthol the differences are harder to notice than on a classic tobacco, because cooling dominates whatever sits underneath it. Price varies far more, and it varies because of tobacco excise in each source market rather than anything inside the pack.

Which Turquoise should you buy

  • If price matters and Turquoise is a regular purchase, Armenia. On a menthol the tuning differences are small enough that paying more is hard to justify without a specific reason.
  • If you want the widest choice on the same order, Kazakhstan.
  • If packaging language matters or the pack is a gift, the UAE edition.

Where to go if Turquoise is not right

  • If it is too sharp, Blue is the softer option and is also carried in several ranges.
  • If you want something gentler still, Mint from the Japanese range balances light cooling against visible tobacco and is the mildest cooling stick we sell.
  • If you want fruit alongside the cold, the Purple family covers berry and is carried in every range we buy from, so there is a version at almost any price.
  • If you want the flavour to change halfway through a stick, the Pearl capsules do that.
  • And if you genuinely want more cold, the Black tier is the answer, from Japan or Indonesia.

Devices, format and storage

Twenty sticks per pack, 200 per carton across ten packs, with cartons cheaper per stick. A session runs up to six minutes or fourteen puffs.

Turquoise works in any induction device. IQOS ILUMA, ILUMA ONE and ILUMA PRIME, the whole ILUMA i series, and the LAMBDA i8, i9 and i10. It will not heat in an IQOS 3 DUO, IQOS ORIGINALS, lil, LAMBDA T3 or LAMBDA CC, because those use a heating blade and TEREA has no space for one. Those devices take HEETS.

Two practical notes. Menthol leaves more aroma in a holder than plain tobacco does, so if you rotate between Turquoise and something like Amber or Silver, run the menthol second or leave a few minutes between them. And heat flattens the citrus lift before it flattens the menthol itself, so a pack that has spent a summer in a car will taste colder and flatter than it should. Keep them sealed and out of direct sun.

Frequently asked questions

Is Turquoise the strongest TEREA menthol?

It is the strongest one carried outside Japan, and the strongest in the official UAE range. The Black variants from Japan and Indonesia are colder, but they cost more and are not officially distributed here.

Turquoise or Blue?

Turquoise is sharper and more citrus-led. Blue is softer, with peppermint and a creamy finish. Turquoise is the closer match to a menthol cigarette.

Is Turquoise a good first menthol?

Yes, and it is the one we recommend most often for that. It is the reference point the rest of the cooling range gets measured against.

Does Turquoise have fruit in it?

No. The zesty note is a light citrus lift on the aroma, not a fruit flavour. For fruit with cooling, the Purple family is what you want.

Which edition tastes best?

Differences are subtle on a menthol. Armenia is cheapest, Kazakhstan gives the widest range to order alongside, and the UAE version is the officially distributed pack.

Why does the same Turquoise cost different amounts?

Tobacco excise in the market each pack was made for. The stick, the tobacco and the heating element inside are the same in all three.
