Sienna is the driest of the classic tobaccos and the only one built around a tea note. Philip Morris files it under a balanced and woody profile: a rounded, toasted tobacco blend matched with woody nuances and a subtle light tea aroma.
No fruit, no cocoa, no cooling, nothing added. It is the flavour most often described as the closest thing TEREA makes to a conventional cigarette, and it is the usual next pack for people who have settled on Amber and want something with more edge to it.
We carry it in three market editions.
What Sienna tastes like
The woody note is the backbone. Dry, cedar-like, and present from the first draw rather than developing later.
The tea aroma sits above it and supplies a light tannic freshness on the finish. That is what makes Sienna distinctive. Nothing else in the classic range has it, and it is the reason the stick reads as refined rather than heavy despite being drier than Amber.
Underneath, the tobacco is roasted and medium bodied with a smooth, non-aggressive draw that holds steady across the whole session. There is no sweetness anywhere to fade, and no cooling to interrupt anything, so what you get in the first third is what you get in the last.
The finish is short and clean. Sienna leaves less in a room and less on the palate than Bronze does, which is part of why it works as an all-day stick where Bronze does not.
The Amber question, which is the one everyone asks
Sienna is not a stronger Amber. That assumption sends a lot of people to the wrong pack.
Amber is rounder, with nutty and woody aromas and a faint malty sweetness at the end of a draw. Sienna is drier, woodier, with tea instead of nuts and no sweetness at all. Reviewers genuinely split on which of the two feels stronger, which tells you they are not steps on a ladder.
The honest way to think about them is as neighbours. Amber is the balanced reference point. Sienna is the same weight class with the edges left sharper.
So if Amber has started feeling too smooth or too rounded, Sienna is the right next pack. If Amber feels thin and you want genuinely more weight, that is Teak or Bronze rather than this.
The three editions we stock
Sienna from the UAE is the official local release, distributed here through IQOS with Arabic and English packaging and UAE health warnings. Philip Morris classifies it under a balanced and woody profile. It is the most expensive of the three and the one to choose if packaging language matters, if the pack is a gift, or if you want the version sold through official channels in the Emirates.
Sienna from Armenia comes from a short six-flavour range that carries only proven sellers. It sits at the lower end of our pricing and it is described as coming through fuller and denser than the lighter tunings of this blend elsewhere.
Sienna from Indonesia is our cheapest edition of this flavour. It belongs to the twenty-flavour Indonesian range, which is the only place in the world TEREA is blended with clove, so ordering from it puts seven kretek-style editions within reach on the same order.
Be realistic about the size of the differences. Philip Morris tunes blends per market rather than shipping one recipe worldwide, so these are not strictly identical packs, and regular Sienna smokers do notice. But nobody will mistake one for a different flavour. Price varies far more, and it varies because of tobacco excise in each source market rather than anything inside the pack.
Which Sienna should you buy
- If price matters and Sienna is a regular purchase, Indonesia.
- If you want the fuller tuning, Armenia, at a small step up.
- If packaging language matters or the pack is a gift, the UAE edition.
- If you are undecided, a pack of Indonesia and a pack of Armenia together still costs less than one UAE carton and settles it permanently.
Where Sienna sits in the classic range
Silver and Yellow are the light end. Silver is a mild tobacco with a spicy herb aroma, Yellow a light tobacco with a citrus lift. Neither has any cooling, which surprises people, and neither has much body.
Amber is the middle and the reference point everything else gets measured against.
Sienna sits alongside Amber rather than above it. Drier, woodier, with the tea note doing the distinguishing.
Teak is the step up in weight, toasted with creamy and nutty aromas, and it is the answer if Amber and Sienna both feel thin.
Bronze is the top of the range for body, with dark cocoa and dried fruit. Rich enough that most people do not smoke it all day.
If you want cooling instead of any of this, that is a different branch entirely and Turquoise is the usual starting point.
Devices and format
Twenty sticks per pack, 200 per carton across ten packs, with cartons cheaper per stick. A session runs up to six minutes or fourteen puffs.
Sienna works in any induction device. IQOS ILUMA, ILUMA ONE and ILUMA PRIME, the whole ILUMA i series, and the LAMBDA i8, i9 and i10. It will not heat in an IQOS 3 DUO, IQOS ORIGINALS, lil, LAMBDA T3 or LAMBDA CC, because those use a heating blade and TEREA has no space for one. Those devices take HEETS.
There is no regional lock, so any edition of Sienna runs in any compatible device.
One small note. Sienna’s tea character is easier to notice on a clean palate, so it is worth running it before a menthol or a Bronze rather than after. It is subtle enough that a heavy stick beforehand will bury it.
Delivery
All three Sienna editions are held in stock with delivery across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the rest of the UAE, usually within two hours. Free shipping above 200 AED, card on delivery or cash, and same day dispatch on orders placed between 6:00 AM and 11:30 PM, seven days a week.
Frequently asked questions
Is Sienna stronger than Amber?
Not really. It is drier and woodier rather than heavier, and reviewers split on which feels stronger. Think of them as neighbours rather than steps on a ladder.
Does Sienna have menthol?
No. It is a classic tobacco stick with woody and tea aromas and no cooling of any kind.
What does the tea note actually taste like?
A light tannic dryness on the finish, closer to black tea than to anything sweet. It is the only classic TEREA with that character.
Is Sienna good for a first TEREA pack?
Amber is the easier starting point if you are coming from full flavour cigarettes. Sienna is a better second pack, once you know whether you want more edge or more weight.
Which edition tastes best?
Armenia for fullness, Indonesia for value, UAE for the officially distributed pack. These are tunings of one blend rather than different quality grades, so most people form a preference within a single pack.
Why does the same Sienna cost different amounts?
Tobacco excise in the market each pack was made for. The stick, the tobacco and the heating element inside are the same in all three.
